i watched "saw" last night, and as so many people say they do, i had a dream relating to the movie.
it made me remember why i used to watch scary movies and read scary books, because when i do my dreams are not as scary.
i dreamt i was on a OH&S tour of saw sights. that is to say a safety tour of the scenes where we learnt what to do if we ever found our self in a situation similar to the ones the killer put people in.
it was actually quite fun. the tour guide showed us around different setups he had used and we pointed out that the timeline to create panic was one of the things used that made people unable to think logically and find themselves an escape route. we were told that he had never used the same set up twice and most setups were relevant to the 'victim' so we were told to think of a possible setup that we may be put in and think of ways to escape it. there was even a cool train ride between scenes and a tiny touch of the appreciate what you got thing that the murderer was trying to get at. the theory that if we appreciated life then we would be less likely to find ourselves in such situations, but for those of us who cant this is what to do when you wake up in it.
i guess its hard to explain but as it was only a safety tour it was not a scary dream i got to hang with my friends and avoid a psychopath.
Saw (a horror movie) (avoiding nightmares)
